SEVEN WILLOW DESIGNS
In our fantasies, we’d have an interior designer on hand, picking us the best items from across the globe to transform our
lives into a Pinterest-esque wonderland. The new Seven Willows Design store in Mount Lawley is the next best thing. “As
an interior designer, I have opened this store to showcase not only my interior design ideas and designs, but to promote
my overall design philosophy, which is sourcing beautiful, unique and luxury products both locally and internationally,” s ays
owner Sharon Wiley. The result is a curated collection of clothing, accessories, homewares and furniture. Think locally made
marble tables, organic soy candles whipped up in the neighborhood, and Broome pearls, sitting alongside sofas from China
and chairs sourced from Melbourne. Shop 4, 2nd Avenue, 755 Beaufort Street, Perth.
Top of the shops
After months of online media speculation, Topshop
and Topman are debuting in WA across two floors
in a revamped Carillon City. For once, we’re not
missing out – the collections on offer are set to be
the same collections that are available in London,
New York, LA and around the globe. These include
the popular capsule collections that in the past
have collaborated with Kate Moss, and more
recently Kate Bosworth. Perth can expect the
new store late 2014. topshop.com/australia.
As stylists and bloggers, Bec Davis and Jules Stanley
were always asked where they liked to shop in Perth.
The only problem was, they weren’t quite sure what
to say. “We felt that nobody was really doing the
cool, relaxed style that we liked to wear,” they say.
Their solution? Do it themselves. They filled Shenton
Park streetwear boutique Peachy with the kind of
clothes they love – and the rest of Perth seemed
to follow suit. “We wanted to create a space that
was edgy but at the same time welcoming and
non-judgmental, where all shoppers would feel
comfortable. We have girls as young as 10 shopping
with us, up to 60 plus! Anybody at any age can wear
great jeans, tees and shirts.” Peachy stocks a mix of
labels like Zoe Karssen, First Base, Current Elliott,
Nobody, Nicholas, L’America, Stussy, UNIF.M, NLP
Swimwear, Lisa Marie Fernandez Swimwear Prism
and Converse. 204 Nicholson Road, Shenton Park.
