BARS & RESTAURANTS
WINTER LONGTABLE DINNERS
SPANISH DINNER | As part of its 2013 Winter Dinner Series, fashion designer
Fenella Peacock is transforming her boutique, Nell’s Emporium, into a wine-,
food- and music-filled pop-up restaurant. Mosman Park, Jul 26.
SOUTH AFRICAN LONGTABLE DINNER | Word of The
Precinct’s epic longtable dinners has spread. Last July it was France,
in February it was Spain, and in May, North America.
This August, they’re bringing diners a taste of South Africa
over four courses. Victoria Park, Aug 25.
ARGENTINIAN BARBECUE | By day, Pimlott & Strand is a
deli-cum-providore. By night, and with the help of a candle or two,
it’s an on-trend pop-up restaurant. Our carnivorous hearts were set
aflutter at the thought of their Argentinian barbecue night. Ribs,
anyone? North Perth, Jul 19.
TASTE OF ASIA | Have the appetite – but maybe not the cash – to
take a tour of Asia? This winter, The Aviary has got you covered. A ticket
scores you canapes and four courses matched with beverages. Perth, Jul 25
(Taste of Japan) and Aug 29 (Taste of Thailand).
DINE FOR LIFE 2013
Mark your calendars or,
better yet, just go ahead
and buy your tickets for
the always fabulous Dine
for Life, a charity dining
event across Perth’s best
locations, Nov 27.
The Naked Fig understands that winter
malaise can only be cured with wine,
and lots of it. Their new six-course
degustation dinners are matched with
wine from some of the most acclaimed
local and interstate producers. The
good news: the dinner costs a very
reasonable $99 per person. The even
better (or worse?) news: head chef Chris
May will not be cooking in the nude.
Swanbourne, Jul 25, Aug 29 and Sept 26.
Starlight Five Chefs Dinner.
A longtable dinner
at Pimlott & Strand.
