check out the much-anticipated Unveiled exhibition at
the WA Museum.
Here come the brides
The WA Museum presents an exquisite collection of more than 40
wedding outfits from London’s prestigious Victoria and Albert Museum.
Unveiled features masterpieces by Vera Wang, John Galliano and
Vivienne Westwood, presenting a timeline of wedding fashion over the
past 200 years, while providing an insight into the social and economic
conditions of the time. A highlight is the Norman Hartnell wedding dress
(above) with its 3.6m train. Worn by socialite Margaret Whigham in 1933,
it garnered so much public attention that traffic was blocked for hours.

photographs, including a road roller used to build Wanneroo Road, and

ARMY MUSEUM OF WA | Tanks, field guns and other military
vehicles; tells the story of West Australians in the army, from WW1 to
Afghanistan. Burt Street, Fremantle.
MOUNT FLORA REGIONAL MUSEUM | History of the Stirling
area dating back to the mid 1800s. Elvire Street, Watermans Bay.
WESTERN AUSTRALIAN MUSEUM | Stories of the local
Aboriginal people, the State’s flora and fauna, and meteorites, megafauna
and dinosaurs. Perth Cultural Centre, Northbridge.
AVIATION HERITAGE MUSEUM | 32 airplanes and
34 engines, along with other items that capture the legacy of the
Royal Australian Air Force. Bullcreek Drive, Bullcreek.
FREMANTLE PRISON | Built by convicts in the 1850s
and decommissioned as a maximum-security gaol in 1991.

HEATHCOTE MUSEUM | The history of Point Heathcote
