Are you that person whose witty comebacks arrive hours late? Yeah, join the club.
Luckily, Perth offers some awesome workshops that can help get you quicker on your
feet and avoid those awkward moments.
Ever played a game where you are actually meant to stuff up? Well if you haven’t, this
is the perfect chance. Run by improvisation specialist and spontaneity coach Glenn
Hall, Just Improvise offers workshops for adults, teenagers and children that help you
prepare for the unknown and accept stuff ups as part of improv. “For many reasons, we
have had it drilled into us since we were very young, that failure is not an option,” says
Glenn. “What I remind people is that mistakes are a part of learning and growing, and
if we embrace imperfection and allow ourselves to celebrate it, we can move forward.”
Just Improvise, ongoing.
The Big HOO-HAA!
Focused on improving your listening skills and confidence, The Big HOO-HAA! offers
workshops to help remove your fear and see that failure is totally an option, often
a humorous one. “We teach people to get their minds working at full speed and in
different ways than they would usually,” says Sam Longley, Big HOO-HAA! creator
and improv extraordinaire. “Everybody wants to have a little more spontaneity and
creativity in their lives, and improv is one way of getting to grips with how to do that.”
The Big HOO-HAA!, ongoing.
