first WA venue in Northbridge. Diners are queuing
each night for authentic Malaysian dishes like nasi
lemak and laksa.
• The previous owners of George Street Bistro have
opened a new venue in Como by the name of
Juniper & Bay. Lucky for loyal fans of the East Freo
venue, the Roast Duck has come along in the move.
• Control freaks will love this one. Vic Park’s new
Amazy Restaurant & Hotpot invites diners to cook
Sichuan soup right at their table. Don’t worry – the
washing up isn’t part of the gig.
• Dunsborough has a new fine dining restaurant, and
it’s a dandy. Piari & Co is owned by a husband-and-
wife team with a passion for southwest produce.
• Haweli Indian has just opened its third venue, this
one in Northbridge. Is it just us, or is Lake Street
becoming the suburb’s new dining precinct?
• The CBD lunchtime crowds are flocking to the new
Le Vietnam Cafe in the Bon Marche arcade for
Vietnamese coffee, pho and bánh mì.
• Favourite local burger joint Flipside has opened its
newest venue in Como, on the corner of Canning
Highway and Birdwood Avenue. Woohoo!

that’s as cute as it is delicious. We’ll be back just
for the cold-pressed juice and raw goodies by
Caversham’s Naked Bakery.
• Claremont’s new Brooklyn Lounge is open six days
a week for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We love that
oysters are just $1 a pop on Friday evenings.
